5 people arrested in intelligence and governor’s offices in Iranian Kurdistan

This clearly proves how terrified the regime is when powerful Kurdish political groups show force against the regime.  The regime is now getting ready to confront a new wave of uprisings, this time around, across the country on the anniversary of the 1979 Revolution.

I had reported and commented on IRNA report earlier and I think people in Kurdistan and Iran should embrace for a tough fight with this brutal regime that is willing to cling to whatever it can, as it has done in the last 3 decades, to continue this totalitarian rule.

Medya News – The Sine News Agency has reported that on an early morning raid on Saturday on the offices of the intelligence and governorship in the city of Mariwan in Iranian Kurdistan five high level staffers have been arrested accused of collaborating with a Kurdish opposition group.

According to the Agency’s source, the individuals under arrest have already confessed to have contacts with the Kurdish group.  The report reveals that apparently this opposition political party was planning major protest on the anniversary of the 1979 revolution in the cities of Saghiz and Mariwan similar to the protests in Tehran on the Asura day.

There are reports from credible sources that the regime is staging region-wide arrests and possible further executions of activists accused of activities against the regime and collaborating with the banned opposition groups.
