Exactly 20 years ago, gunmen dispatched by the regime in Iran stormed a gathering place of Iranian opposition groups and opened fire on some of the guests. Among those targeted and killed were Dr. Sadegh Sharafkandi, then the Secretary General of Democratic Party of Iranian Kurdistan and three of his deputies.
On April 10, 1997, the trial that was initiated, despite all the pressures from the German and Iranian governments not to proceed, ended with a verdict that proved that “Iran’s’ leadership had ordered the crime.” at the highest level.
The event will remember those who were killed in that tragic night and countless of others who have fallen victim to the Irnaian regime’s terrorist-sponsoring policy.
The event is held on Sunday, September 16, 2012.
